NOTICE FOR ENGAGEMENT OF MEMBERS FOR MEDICAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE (MAC) IN ESI CORPORATION
Employees’ State Insurance Corporation is a statutory body constituted under an Act of Parliament (ESI Act, 1948) and works under the administrative control of Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India.  Employees’ State Insurance  Corporation invites application  from individuals  for constituting  Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) through the engagement of  04 (Four) Members (Retired doctors / Specialist from Central Govt. / State Govt. / PSUs/ Autonomous Bodies of the rank of Senior Administrate Grade and above) to monitor all aspects of Hospital empanelment system and provide necessary assistance to the Medical Commissioner for improving the empanelment system especially, with reference to:-
1. Procedure for empanelment.
2 Verification of referrals.
3 Random scrutiny of bills raised by empanelled hospitals.
4 Justification of treatment given/ Medical Audit of Bills. 

5 Visits to SMC offices, empanelled hospitals and referring institutions (All over  India).
6 Any other technical advice for improving the functioning of empanelment system.
The Committee will meet on periodic intervals to monitor, review and analyze reports from 
various States and give their technical advice for bridging the gap or loopholes in empanelment system if any.
The Committee Members shall be paid per diem Rs. 5000/- for attending committee 
meetings. The Committee  Member on tour shall be paid to and fro airfare by economy class and accommodation as per entitlement of SAG officers of ESI Corporation besides Rs.  5000/ per diem, subject to fact their shall be a minimum of 4 meetings in a calendar month.
No other remuneration on any account shall be paid.The tenure of the Medical Advisory Committee members will be 2 years.  The tenure can be extended for another 2 years by the competent authority based on satisfactory performance.  However, ESIC shall reserve right to terminate the engagement at any point of time without assigning any reason.
The interested candidates may submit their application mentioning complete bio-data along with 
the photocopies of documents in support of their qualification/ experience etc. The applications 
complete in all respect should be addressed to the Jt. Director (Rectt.) ESI Corporation, Hqrs. office, CIG Road, New Delhi- 110002 latest by 30.11.2011.
