Employees’ State Insurance Corporation is a statutory body constituted under an Act of Parliament (ESI Act 1948) and works under the administrative control of Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India. The Corporation proposes to start/establish Post Graduate Medical Courses in its hospitals and the process of obtaining the approval of Medical Council of India (as per the prescribed procedure) has been initiated to start the Post Graduate Medical courses w.e.f. the year 2012-13. The ESI Corporation invites applications from eligible & experienced candidates for the post of Dean, for its proposed ESI-PGIMSR at ESI Hospital, Manicktala, Kolkata, for appointment on contract basis as per details given below:-
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: The applicant must possess minimum qualification as prescribed by Medical Council of India – Minimum Qualification for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations, 1998(Should possess the recognized post-graduate medical qualification and other academic qualification from a recognized institution with a minimum of 10 years teaching experience as Professor / Associate Professor / Reader in a Medical College / Instt. out of which at least 05 years should be as Professor in a department. Preference for these appointments may be given to the heads of the Department) and MCI PG Medical Education Regulation, 2000 and its amendment 2005-06 (refer www.mciindia.org. for detailed information).
