The Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) is the country’s premier national Institute for agricultural research, education and extension. Over the years, IARI has excelled as a centre of higher education and training in agricultural sciences at national and international levels. Pesticide Referral Laboratory established in the Division of Agricultural Chemicals, IARI, under National Agricultural Technology Project (Team of Excellence) is a step towards generating globally acceptable data for export certification and International trade. National Accreditation Board of Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) has given accreditation status to PRL for ISO/IEC 17025:2005 in the field of Chemical Testing (NABL Certificate No. T-1541). The Pesticide Referral Laboratory has a well maintained High definition laboratory for processing of samples, cold room for storage of samples and analytical standards. Instruments available - Gas Chromatograph-Mass spectrometer (GCMS), Gas chromatograph (GC), High Performance Liquid Chromatograph (LC), UVVIS Spectrophotometer, FT-IR Spectrophotometer, LC-MS-MS, NMR (400 MHz). The laboratory is manned by highly qualified (MSc and PhD), experienced (10-30 years) and competent personnel.
