KARTET INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES - PAPER - 2 

1. The sealed Question Booklet containing 150 Multiple Objective Type questions, 
enclosed with O.M.R. Answer Sheet is given to you. 
2. Verify whether the given Question Booklet is of the same PAPER/MEDIUM which you 
have opted 
3. This Question Booklet has four Parts I, II, III and IV consisting of 150 Objective Type 
Questions, each carrying one mark 
Part-I: Language I – 
(Kannada/English/Urdu/Tamil/Telugu/Marathi/Hindi/Sanskrit) (Q. I to Q. 30) 
Part-II:Language-II(Kannada/English/Urdu/Tamil/Telugu/Marathi/Hindi/Sanskrit)(Q. 31 to 
Q. 60) 
Part-III: Child Development and Pedagogy (Q. 6I to Q. 90) 
Part-IV: Mathematics and Science (Q. 91 to Q. 150) 
4. Part-l contains 30 questions for Language-I and Part-II contains 30 questions for 
Language-II. In this question Booklet, Questions pertaining to all languages have been 
given. The languages being answered must tally with the languages opted for in your 
Application Form/as mentioned in the admission ticket. 
5. Candidates are required to attempt questions in Part-II (Language-II) in any language 
other than the one chosen as Language-I (in Part-I) from the list of languages as 
mentioned in the application form. 
6. Part-lII Child Development and Pedagogy (Q. 6I to Q. 90) ,Part-IV Mathematics and 
Science (Q. 91 to Q. 150) contains questions in different mediums have been given in 
this Test Booklet. The Questions answered must tally with the medium and optional 
opted for, in your Application Form/as mentioned in the admission ticket. 

7. Candidates who have answered question paper of other language/medium other than 
the language /medium opted in the application will not be considered for valuation. 

8. Whitener is not allowed for changing answers. 

9. Ensure that your question Booklet No. and OMR Answer Sheet No. are the same. In 
case of discrepancy, the candidate should immediately report the matter to the invigilator 
for the replacement of the question booklet and the OMR answer sheet before answering 
the questions 

10. Take out the question paper booklet from the plastic pouch and Open the question 
paper seal carefully and take out the enclosed OMR Answer sheet out side the question 
booklet and fill up the general information from Sl. No. 1 to 13 of OMR Answer Sheet. If 
you fail to fill up the details in the form of alphabet and signs as instructed, you will be 
personally responsible for consequences arising during scanning and scoring of your 
answer sheet. 

11. Enter the Sl. No.of OMR Sheet at Sl. No. 6 , Sl.No. of Question Paper Booklet at 
Sl.No.7. Enter the paper you opted, in the Sl. No. 8 of OMR Sheet.

12. Handle the question Booklet and OMR Answer Sheet with care, as under no 
circumstances (except for discrepancy in question Booklet Code or Number and Answer 
Sheet Code or Number), another set will be provided. 

13. Candidates are not allowed to carry any textual material, printed or written, bits of 
papers, pager, mobile phone, electronic device or any other material except the Admit 
Ticket inside the examination hall/ room. 

 14. Use of Electronic / Manual Calculator is prohibited. 

15. Rough work should be done only on the blank space provided in the Question 
Booklet. Rough work should not be done on the O.M.R. Answer Sheet 

16. During the Examination :- 
a. Read each question carefully. 
b. Select the correct answer out of the four choices given under each of the Question. 
c. Completely darken /shade only one relevant circle against Question No. in the OMR 
Answer Sheet. For Example, in a question paper if Sl. No. 3 is correct answer for 
question No. 20, then darken before Sl. No. 20 of OMR Answer Sheet using blue / black 
ball point pen as follows. 20. The answer once marked is not liable to be changed. 

17. There is no negative valuation. 

18. The answers are to be recorded on the OMR Answer Sheet only. Mark your 
responses carefully. This is a carbon less Answer Sheet. There is no need to shade the 
second copy separately. 

19. If more than one circle is darkened for a given question, such answer is treated as 
wrong and no mark will be given. See the example in the OMR Sheet. 

20. The candidate and the Room Supervisor should sign in the OMR Sheet at specified 
place. Candidate has to put left hand thumb impression at specified place compulsorily. 

21. No candidate, without special permission of the Superintendent or Invigilator, should 
leave his / her seat. 

22. The candidates should not leave the Examination Hall without handing over their 
Answer Sheet to the Invigilator on duty and sign the Attendance Sheet twice. Cases 
where a candidate has not signed the nominal roll /Attendance Sheet a second time will 
be deemed not to have handed over the Answer Sheet and dealt with as an unfair 
means case. The candidates are also required to put their left hand THUMB impression 
in the space provided in the nominal roll /Attendance Sheet. Candidates are not allowed 
to leave the examination hall till the end of the session. 
23. On completion of the Examination, the candidate must hand over the original OMR 
Answer Sheet to the Invigilator in the Room /Hall. The candidates are allowed to take 
away this question Booklet along with carbon copy of the OMR sheet with them. 

24. Candidates found committing malpractice, action will be taken against them as per 
rules.
