RECRUITMENT TO THE POST OF ASSISTANT EPIGRAPHIST (DRAVIDIAN INSCRIPTIONS) CATEGORY NO.1/BG OF ADVT. NO.KKR-01/2014
STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION (KKR) HAD ADVERTISED THE ABOVE POST IN THE EMPLOYMENT NEWS DATED 3 – 9 MAY 2014. ON SCRUNITY OF THE APPLICATIONS RECEIVED FOR THE POST, IT IS FOUND THAT NONE OF THE CANDIDATES POSSESS THE ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION. THE ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POST ARE:
(I) Master’s Degree in Tamil/Malayalam/Telugu/Kannada with Ancient Indian History as a subject at Bachelor’s Degree level from a recognized university or equivalent;
OR
(II) Master’s Degree in History with Ancient Indian History as a subject and Tamil/Malayalam/Telugu/ Kannada as one of the subjects at Bachelor’s Degree
level from a recognized university or equivalent.
As per the clarification received from the Office of the Director General, Archaeological Survey of India,
Ministry of Culture, New Delhi vide Letter No.10-3/2009-Adm.I dated 01st
September, 2014, “the
language papers, viz., Tamil/Malayalam/Telugu/Kannada either at BA or MA level should be a full
time subject in which degree is awarded and should be counted towards final grading”.
On re-scrutiny also, none of the applicants are found eligible.
IN CASE ANY OF THE CANDIDATES HAS ANY GRIEVANCE IN THIS REGARD HE/SHE MAY REPRESENT TO
THIS OFFICE ON OR BEFORE 17TH
OCTOBER, 2014 WITH COPIES OF ALL SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS.
