Bioethics Training for Medical and dental Teachers Kerala University of health sciences is planning Accredited Bioethics Training for Medical and dental Teachers from 14th-16th January 2016. This 3T Plus ETTC is the bioethics training course to Train the trainer. It has been developed for experienced medical teachers who will be accredited to train teaching faculty in colleges and universities. The course is expected to provides competencies for teaching faculty in teaching of Bioethics for under graduate and post graduate medical training in modern medicine and Dental colleges of the university. The focus of this course is on 4 areas Part 1 Bioethics Human Rights Principals – (Autonomy, Beneficence, Non Maleficence, Distributive Justice) Human Rights, Human dignity, vulnerability, Gender perspectives in ethics and environmental ethics Part 2 Novel Knowledge Transfer Technology: - Interactive debate, role play, cinema, and skit. Assessment technology, emotional intelligence aiding bioethics teaching, Classroom communication- pedagogy and psychology of ethics. Professionalism and Case based teaching Part 3 Integrated Bioethics Teaching bioethics as it relates to and in the subjects of the UG Medical curriculum, teaching bioethics in the Clinical setting and at the bedside. Part 4 Simulated Teaching Presentation and Assessment: Each participant of the course is presented with a chance to demonstrate the knowledge acquired during the training by putting together 10 minute presentation of ethics teaching model. 3 teachers each from affiliated Modern medicine/ Dental college (One each from pre clinical, para clinical and clinical subjects ) may apply through their principal for this course Please note that the admission will be limited 40 participants .
